Rainbows of Caring will research LGBTQ+ individuals and learn from their experiences caring for those living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Participants will complete a pre-test survey and potentially participate in a one-on-one interview.

What to expect

  1. Check your eligibilityWe are looking for LGBTQIA+ current or former caregivers of someone living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia (ADRD).
  2. Call or email usCall 866-966-6974 or email rainbowsofaging@unlv.edu to schedule your Zoom interview. We will answer your questions first, and there is no obligation to continue.
  3. Complete the surveyYou will complete a pre-test survey about your caregiving experience. Most people finish it in one sitting, and you can skip any question.
  4. Share your story in a listening sessionYou may be invited to a one-on-one interview over Zoom. We listen, you talk, and you decide how much to share.
  5. Receive your compensation$50 compensation for survey completion. Our team confirms the details with you before your session.

Our interviewers are trained to follow your lead. You can pause, skip a question, or stop at any point without losing your compensation for work you have already completed.

Confidential by design

Your responses are kept confidential and reported in grouped form. We never publish your name or identifying details.
