What this policy covers

This policy explains how the Rainbows of Caring website handles information. It applies to this website only. Research studies run by our team have their own consent documents, approved separately, that describe how study data is collected and protected.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or profiling, so this site does not show a cookie banner. To understand which pages are useful, we record simple, anonymous page-view data: the page path, the date and time, the referring website's domain, and whether the visit came from a phone, tablet, or computer.

Each visit is grouped using a one-way code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. We do not store your IP address, and we do not build profiles or follow you across other websites.

Information you send us

When you use our inquiry form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide, along with your optional phone number, pronouns, and how you describe yourself. We use these details to reply to you and to keep an internal record of your request. Your submission is stored securely and emailed to our study team at rainbowsofaging@unlv.edu.

Please do not include detailed medical information in the form. If you want to discuss health details, call us at 866-966-6974 instead.

Sharing and email

We never sell your information or share it with advertisers. We only send email you asked for: replies to your message and study information you requested. Any study updates we send include a clear way to stop receiving them, and we honor those requests promptly. Service providers who host this website and deliver our email may process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

How long we keep information

Inquiries are kept as long as needed to respond and to document study recruitment, then deleted. Anonymous page-view records are retained in aggregate to compare periods over time.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete the information you sent through this website. Email rainbowsofaging@unlv.edu or call 866-966-6974 and we will help. Because analytics data is anonymous, we cannot locate or remove individual page-view records.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the ADA web accessibility rule. If any part of this site is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it and give you the information another way.
